Our Mission:
Guardian College is an Idaho proprietary school
committed to providing quality education to the EMS community,
healthcare professionals, and the general public. We fulfill
that commitment by providing primary and continuing EMS
education, American Heart Association courses, and by
developing new courses and formats to accommodate the needs of
our students and their employers. We will deliver education to
our students in ways that work with their schedules and needs,
providing timely, relevant hands-on training for emergency
medical technicians and paramedics. We will strive for
exceptional instruction and will not be satisfied until we
have 100% success and satisfaction of our students. We will
try to insure that our graduates are a credit to their units
and their communities by instilling the highest professional
and ethical standards. |

Our
Facility
Our 5,000 square foot facility consists of three
classrooms, student lounge, resource center,
administrative offices, and storage areas for supplies and
training equipment. Students use mannequins and have
access to all equipment required by the Idaho EMS Bureau
on ambulances for their level of training. The training
ambulance is used to practice loading and securing
patients. The EMT Basic and EMT Advanced (I-85) classrooms
have a capacity of 45 students each, and the EMT Paramedic
classroom holds up to 20 students. |

History:
Guardian College was formed in 2007 through a
merger between two proprietary schools for EMS
instruction, The CPR Connection and Tier One EMT. CPR
Connection was founded in 1997 and offered CPR classes
to medical offices and grew to include EMS training and
public access defibrillators. It moved into the current
facility in 2004. Tier One EMT was founded in 2000 and
provided EMS training primarily to military personnel.
Guardian College became a member of the Northwest Career
College Federation in the spring of 2007. |

Our
Emphasis:
While our primary focus is
training entry level EMTs and paramedics, we also provide
continuing education for EMS professionals and other
healthcare providers, community education in first aid and
CPR, instructor development for EMS educators, and promote
public access defibrillation programs. |
